01The show

The questions you never thought to ask. Answered in a minute.

Literally Explained turns everyday mysteries into animated shorts: a funny little story, a pop into the explain world, and a real answer you can repeat at dinner.

Under 60 seconds Science & psychology Sources in every video

02How every episode works

Three beats. Under a minute.

  1. 1

It starts with an everyday moment.

A couch, a kitchen, a phone at 2 a.m. Somebody does something we all do, and a question pops up.

  2. 2

Pop! We jump inside the question.

The scene freezes, and a bubble pulls us into the explain world, where the idea becomes something you can see.

  3. 3

Then the real answer, with receipts.

Every claim comes from published research, and the sources go in the description. All in under a minute.

03Where to watch

Mysteries, right in your feed.

Every new short goes up on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and X. Pick your favourite and follow along.

04Our promise

Fun to watch. Safe to repeat.

Real studies

Every claim traces back to published research. If a study is small or shaky, we say so, or we leave it out.

Sources included

Every video lists its sources in the description, so you can always check us.

Simple words

Short sentences and everyday words. No jargon, no lecture, just the good part.

05The network

One channel today. A network tomorrow.

Literally Explained is the first show in a growing network of curiosity channels: short, well-made animated series that explain the world, each with its own look, all with the same promise. Real facts, simple words.
